By creating an ultra-smooth gamma curve calculated with a true log scale algorithm, a dynamic range of 400% is obtained, making it possible to accurately reproduce fine details and subtle colors throughout the picture, including shadowed and highlighted areas.

In measuring your 8mm film for estimating cost, use the following guidelines:
3" diameter reel =  50 feet of film   
5" diameter reel = 200 feet of film
6" diameter reel = 300 feet of film   
7" diameter reel = 400 feet of film
Larger reels, which have had film spliced together may not be full.  In some cases you can find notches along the reel spokes indicating how much film the reel contains.  Use this figure.  Each small reel of 8mm film (little Kodak box or round plastic 3" reel), equates to $12.50 transfer fee. For larger reels, simply multiply the footage by 25¢.
Our prices include the cost of the digital tape or DVD. Minimun order is $125.

PREPARATION

1. Number your reels of film in the order you wish to have them appear on the video.

HINT: Some reels have processing dates on the boxes or along the sprocket holes

2. Write your opening title, along with your personal information and any instructions, on a piece of paper with your film.
