GOD AS THE FORM OF SUPPLY, by Gail Gupton
Elijah was an hungered and a raven appeared. What if Elijah ignored the raven, expecting instead his supply to be in the form of a gold coin? What if Elijah was too busy to notice? Or involved with entertaining himself? Or asleep? Was it Elijah's spiritual consciousness that attracted his supply and fulfilled his need?

For the last five years, God has appeared in various forms of supply for us. Sometimes God appears as a check in the mailbox, a package at our door, a telephone inquiry, an online order, an e-mail request - but it's always God appearing. Prior to the realization of God appearing as everything, we often struggled for income, not fully understanding the nature of God AS.

One quite often gets caught up in the events, fears, and worries of the world. Believing ourselves to be "separated" from God, one labors for a living. Someone once told me in a huffy voice, "God does not put the food on the table. I have to work for it!" This person failed to realize God appears as the source of all food, and as the very food itself. With a spiritual consciousness, things are drawn unto us just as a healthy tree or flower draws unto itself necessary minerals and nutrients from the ground. It doesn't draw things it doesn't need, only what it does need. The Bible specifically states the flowers of the field toil not.

When my husband required major heart surgery, and having no hospitalization insurance or savings accounts, a "raven" appeared. God appeared as a huge discount due to our self-employment. Totally unexpected, yet not surprising, spiritual consciousness drew unto us a solution to what would appear as a problem to others. And, not being able to fully work as before, we used credit cards for our expenses. Again, God appeared as two hundred customers when he was able to work. The floodgates opened and in three short months we were able to pay our debts, "with twelve baskets full left over".

In knowing, in realization, in understanding - God appears as all needs, all forms of supply. In the not knowing, in ignorance to the nature of God's appearance, one struggles, labors, worries, steals, cries, agonizes.

God appears as all. God appears as every form and substance of such. God is the cause and the effect. Until one realizes God AS, that person will continue to labor for his needs to be met.

"How do I realize such truth?" one might ask. Meditate on the nature of God AS. Ponder what you think God is appearing AS. Then ask yourself, "Is that ALL?"

Once, before awakening to this truth, there was a time we needed some serious automobile repair. We had no apparent resources with which to pay. I called our spiritual teacher for some inspiration. Within minutes, the phone rang with news that a finance company had agreed to advance the funds. When I called the teacher back and told of the call, the response was, "My dear, you may call it a finance company, but it was God appearing as the solution to your problem!" This opened my eyes and we've never again worried about meeting our human needs.

In metaphysical circles, one studies terms such as abundance, supply, needs, income, money, lack. Looking for answers to a prayer, having to pray and study over and over again, only to have the need repeat itself, indicates a lack of understanding God as ALL. I emphasize this ALLNESS continually because ignorance is the only sin for which one suffers. God is NOT outside somewhere, having left one to fend for himself or herself. The sooner one can realize this truth, the sooner that person will be liberated from the enslavement of seeming lack.

God's omnipotence, God's omnipresence, God's omniscience, God's omni-action includes one's life, one's activities, one's business. It matters not if one is employed, self-employed, or unemployed, God is still here. Never separated from Himself, God appears as one's profession. And "God doeth the work". He prepares the place for us. He goes before us to make the crooked places straight. He performs that which is given us to do. God appears as our Self. God is our being. God is the essence of the soul.

Never having to labor means one can enjoy a hobby and have it as fulfillment. It means doing what one loves and having it as an income. It means loving what one does and doing it with no effort.

Just as God appeared as a raven to supply Elijah's need, so He will appear as yours when spiritual consciousness is raised above the world.

All is well.
