God IS . . . ., by Gail Gupton

The end of the calendar year is approaching and during the last 12 months many have made suggestions regarding topics for this newsletter. Concerns regarding one's spiritual journey and current events of the day often are at the forefront. However, whether one wants to know how to have a better human life or whether one wants to know about angels and the afterlife, the answer is always going to be the same.

Any word followed by "is" equals the truth in part or as a whole. There is no truth about human conditions, human health, human relationships. There is no truth about angels, death, heaven, or prayer. The only Truth is truth of God. God IS all the things mentioned, and realizing the nature of God as perfection gives one the answer to one's question no matter what the topic.

The realization of the truth of God in one's human consciousness brings God into one's experience.

God is manifested in the conscious realization of Truth and not simply in the belief or faith in God.

God is a presence.

God is an experience.

Without the experience of God's presence, one goes about humanhood with all its ups and downs and opposite circumstances, constanting battling good and evil, and bringing into one's daily life the stress of daily living. In God's presence is peace.

God Is. What follows the "is" will be an individual enlightenment. One already has the answer. To some, God is Love. Or God is Life. Or God is a warm fuzzy feeling. To some, God is an invisible man sitting on a throne up in the clouds. But whatever follows the word "is" is the truth to that individual. Even the statement "God is not evil" needs contemplation beyond the word "is". God is all and all that is not. This means not that evil exists, but rather what God is.

A principle lies behind every condition, every form - and God is that principle. Nothing else exists. Nothing, no thing, has the ability to be independent. No thing has the authority to take over, to rule, to injure or to heal. The principle and the source of ALL is God, the creator, the Being of All.

To those people who want to know how to heal a relationship or a marriage - Oneness is the key.

To those people wanting to know about bringing prayer into schools or where heaven is, Omnipresence is the key.

To those people wanting to know about healing, Omnipotence is the key.

One need not be concerned about human characteristics or human understanding or human activities, for themselves or for others, when one realizes God is on the scene. In this Oneness with God's presence is freedom. Did not Jesus come to liberate? One is not enslaved, one is liberated from the law, and free to live by Grace. We enslave ourselves with a false belief of separation from God. It is not our life we live, but God is living His Life as us and as all form.

In one's realization, in one's awareness to this truth, in one's awakening to God's presence, in one's experience of God, no human situation can be of concern. Angels and prayers and health and relationships and war and death are of no concern to those whose consciousness is attuned to spiritual understanding. Things DON'T MATTER. Only one thing matters - God is. . . . Then let God fill in the blank. As God's presence becomes a reality, situations of the world that seemed to be of importance dissolve away.

God will reveal Himself/Herself in a whirlwind or as a still, small voice from within. When one experiences God's presence, the conditions and concerns of the earth melt into nothingness. This is what some call healing, but reality says this is God manifested.

Beyond the prayers and beyond the sacrifices lies spiritual understanding which liberates one from the turmoil of human existence as one experiences it on a daily basis. If one suffers, let it be the learning experience, let it be the turning point, let it be the necessary path on which one trods to experience the presence of God. God is not only within, God is without. God is Being that which one seeks. God is Being that which one is.

The purpose of this monthly newsletter is to remind those on a spiritual journey of the Truth they have within. The answers to questions and topics of concern will always be found within oneself because Oneness contains both the question and the answer. One does not exist without the other.

All is well.
