IS GOD IN SPACE? |
by Gail Gupton |
Contemplate for a minute what
constitutes space. Some think of God in outer space (meaning the heavens). Some may think
of God in empty space (meaning the air not occupied by matter). Others think of God in
inner space (meaning within ourselves).
In meditating on this issue, I came to realize God is in ALL space. Imagine God on
the point of a pinhead. There is space there, isn't there? And imagine God within the
space of a blood cell. There's space there, too, isn't there? Think of God in the space of
a ray of sunshine or in the space of air as we inhale it through our nostrils. Think of
God on the space of skin we call our flesh and where one tiny freckle occupies or where a
whole arm or leg exists. Think of God in the space on our vocal cords when sound emits
from our mouth. Our thoughts of where God is are just as infinite as God Himself.
Space is everywhere and there is a space for everything. We never run out of space
and we can never run out of God no matter what our situation or condition.
Actually we run INTO God everywhere we look and everywhere we go. We just fail to
recognize IT. Instead we've been conditioned through generations of time to think
God is separate from us. But God, as Spirit, is in all things and appears as all things and
forms Itself AS all things. The principle of life is spiritual. But more than that! The
principle of ALL is spiritual.
Think of all the places God is (and there is no place where God is not). Think of the body
and those of others. Think about what people consider the brain (mind). Think about
everything in nature. Could anything even exist except that God formed it? But more than
that! Could anything even exist except that God IS it? Now we know what Jesus meant
when he said, "I can of mine own self do nothing".
